Zillow is the #1 real estate website based on number of online visitors. Unfortunately, their “Zestimate” value is NOT always accurate. Per Zillow their estimate “it is a starting point in determining a home's value. The Zestimate is calculated from public and user-submitted data, taking into account special features, location, and market conditions.” Let’s be real… a starting point is WAY OFF from that new $20,000 kitchen renovation you just completed last month or the fact that you’re plumbing is still polybutylene piping from the early 80’s.
It’s great to use Zillow as a potential ROUGH estimate when you’re contemplating selling, but let the agents do the hard work for you.
